Like All Great Journey’s…
…it began with a moment of determination and hope. Perhaps the crisp breezes of September blew in over the Barossa ranges, rustling the leaves of the Red River gums. Perhaps it took place in the first light of dawn. And almost certainly the frogs croaked loudly in the waters of the nearby creek, as a strong-willed adventurer, true to himself and true to his dreams, planted his first vines. Little did he realise it, but in that single moment of inspiration, Johann Gramp began the story of what has become one of Australia’s, and indeed the world’s great wines. Jacob’s Creek.
